As the prevalence of COVID-19 continues to remain constant in our community, we wish to bring you up-todate on the changes we have made at Terre Haute Internal Medicine going forward.

We will continue to see routine wellness visits as well as in-office visits for new problems. You will continue to receive automated phone calls to confirm your appointments with us. If you have lab work in conjunction with your appointment, it will be drawn at the time of the appointment or after you see your physician. You do not need to come in early. If you have an appointment for lab only, come in at the time as instructed. For your protection, after checking in at the front desk, you will be asked to return to your car if there are more than 10 patients in the waiting room and an examination room is not immediately available. A nurse will call you from your car on your cell phone once an examination room is available. You may also check in via Healow App

 

We please ask that all patients WEAR A FACE COVERING when in our building. We have a limited number of surgical masks which we will offer patients who have any respiratory symptoms, but otherwise we ask that you bring your own and please wear them at all times when in the office.

 

If you have had a recent test for COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone with a positive test, please call the office before your appointment and notify a nurse.

 

If you have had fever or respiratory symptoms, please call the office before your appointment and notify a nurse. Telehealth services continue to be available for our patients who would prefer not to come to the office.

A phone or video chat visit can be scheduled with your physician by calling the office at 812-238-0958. These visits are considered the same as in-office visits for insurance/billing purposes and copays may apply. However, if you need to be seen, please call ahead and talk to a nurse as we are discouraging “walk-in” appointments at this time.
